Shropshire Black ham - sliced and ready to eat in a convenient pack for those wanting a more modest amount of this delicious ham.
The Shropshire Black is unique. Made exclusively by DukesHill to a hand-crafted recipe created by Lord Bradenham back in 1781, this ham will appeal to those who are looking for something really special. Like the York, this is a dry cured ham. What makes it different, however, and lends the uncooked ham its distinctive black rind, is a fortnight wallowing in a special marinade of molasses, juniper and spices. The hams are then left to mature for three months, during which time they develop their robust and distinctive flavour.
Please note that due to the slices being taken from a real ham, the shape of the slices may vary.
