Product Description
This traditional Cheshire cheese is handcrafted using open vats, raw milk, and calico cloths for a crumbly texture and bright, citrusy tang. A rare British classic, Appleby’s Cheshire is made with natural rennet and time-honoured methods.
Produced by the Appleby family on their Shropshire farm, this award-winning cheese is one of the few remaining handmade Cheshire cheeses in the UK. Using unpasteurised milk, traditional open vat curdling and calico binding, the cheese develops a clean, zesty flavour with a crumbly yet moist texture.
Its tangy sharpness and light, refreshing finish make it ideal for cutting through rich dishes or enjoying as part of a classic cheeseboard. A proud example of heritage British cheesemaking.
