PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Our cook in the bag Gammon Joints are simple to prepare and full of flavour. Just place in the oven and enjoy a succulent joint with no fuss and no sticky trays to clean. This traditional method locks in moisture for a rich, tender result every time.

Each joint is made from premium British silverside pork, cured the Wiltshire way, then expertly deboned and trimmed to achieve the perfect ratio of lean meat to natural fat. Cooking in the bag enhances the flavour and ensures a melt in the mouth texture with every slice.

This version is coated in dark muscovado sugar and left to mature for 24 hours, allowing the natural molasses to deepen and intensify the flavour. The result is a beautifully balanced gammon joint with sweet and savoury notes and a rich, indulgent finish.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

This is a “cook in the bag” product. Remove the Outer bag leaving the roasting bag intact. Remove the joint from the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking. Place on a baking tray and place in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan 160°C), gas mark 3 for 30 minutes per 500g, rest for 10 minutes aftercooking. Open the bag and place on a serving plate, check that the product is pipeing hot or use a food thermometer in the centre of the joint to confirm that it is >70°C. The joint is now ready to slice
