Our C&B Rosé is a moreish blend of beautifully ripened Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Planted at the foothills of the Pyrénées range, the vines benefit from a long and warm ripening season tempered by cool breezes which enhance aromatic freshness and bright colour. Berries are carefully harvested at night and gently pressed to obtain a lightly coloured and aromatic juice with low-tannin structure. Fermentation is done at cool temperature and the final blend is defined together by Plaimont’s chief winemaker and C&B’s buyer. We use the same top quality outdoor-bred British pork, and the same cure as our most popular Wiltshire hams, but what sets these little gems apart is they are trimmed of all fat and steeped in oodles of clear blossom honey for a minimum of 24 hours to allow the honey to impart its wonderful flavour before baking. The difference between the flavour of cultured butter and regular butter can be best described by comparing the taste of crème fraîche and cream. This butter is salted.
