Product Description
A vibrant, high-altitude Malbec from the foothills of the Andes, Andillian is crafted by La Coste de Los Andes in Los Chacayes, Uco Valley – 1,300 metres above sea level. Sourced from vineyards over a decade old and farmed organically, this expressive Mendoza red captures both the purity of its mountain origin and the finesse of thoughtful winemaking.
Fermented in concrete eggs and stainless steel, with gentle extraction and a short pre-fermentative maceration, the wine is aged for around six months in French oak barrels. The result is a beautifully balanced Malbec that combines depth and structure with freshness and drinkability.
Expect a deep ruby hue and lifted aromas of wild mountain herbs – thyme and jarilla – layered with ripe red fruits, strawberry and plum. The palate is smooth and generous, with bright acidity, supple tannins and a subtle touch of oak framing the fruit. Approachable now, it will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 5–7 years.
