These Craster Kipper Fillets are expertly smoked and hand-prepared for a rich, traditional flavour without the fuss of bones. Sourced from the renowned Craster Smokehouse, they offer a truly authentic taste of Northumbrian heritage.

Made using only the finest herring, each pair of fillets is carefully selected and gently smoked over oak at a family-run smokehouse with generations of experience. The result is a beautifully flaky texture and deep, savoury flavour that sets them apart from standard kippers.

Prepared without bones for easy serving, these fillets are ideal for a quick, nourishing breakfast or a light supper. Simply grill and serve with buttered toast, or flake through a salad or kedgeree for a smoky twist.

Poached Kipper Fillet 1. Heat the milk in a frying pan to simmering point. 2. Add the kippers. If the milk does not quite cover them, add a little boiling water. 3. Adjust the heat so the liquid is barely bubbling, cover the pan and poach for about 4 minutes. 4. Remove and serve immediately with hot buttered toast or scambled egg Microwave Method Cut off head & tail, place on microwaveable plate and cover. Cook on full power for two & half minutes. Serve brown bread & butter
