Our cook-in-the-bag Gammon Joints are hassle-free and easy to cook. Simply pop them into the oven to cook for a perfectly succulent joint with no preparation or washing up sticky trays afterwards. Our cook-in-the-bag method retains all the moisture and gives a delicious, developed flavour and texture.  

Each premium silverside cut is, deboned, and trimmed to ensure the right balance of fat to lean, ready to cook-in-the-bag for the most tender, succulent, melt-in-the-mouth texture.  

This Black Pepper Gammon Joint is cured using our ever-popular Wiltshire style and coated in coarse black pepper, this tender, succulent joint delivers a rich, aromatic flavour and provides hassle-free cooking.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

This is a “cook in the bag” product. Remove the Outer bag leaving the roasting bag intact. Remove the joint from the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking. Place on a baking tray and place in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan 160°C), gas mark 3 for 30 minutes per 500g, rest for 10 minutes after cooking . Open the bag and place on a serving plate, check that the product is pipeing hot or use a food thermometer in the centre of the joint to confirm that it is >70°C. The joint is now ready to slice.
