Product Description

Craster Kippers are a traditional British delicacy, oak smoked and cured in the historic fishing village of Craster on Northumberland’s coast. Renowned for their rich flavour and flaky texture, they bring a taste of true coastal heritage to your table.

Each pair of kippers is handcrafted using time-honoured methods passed down through generations. The herring is split, cured, and gently oak smoked to enhance its natural depth and character. The result is a firm yet tender fish with distinctive umami richness and a beautifully flaky texture.

Whether pan-fried in butter, gently grilled, or served cold with a twist of lemon, these kippers make a satisfying and flavourful addition to breakfast, lunch or supper. Serve with scrambled eggs, crusty bread or a simple salad for a timeless and nourishing meal.

For those seeking artisan fish with true provenance, Craster Kippers offer unmatched quality, smoked in one of Britain’s most celebrated smokehouses using fish sourced and prepared with care.
