PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A bold Scottish cheddar made with unpasteurised milk on the Isle of Mull, this farmhouse cheese offers a rich, complex flavour with seasonal depth and a hint of whisky warmth. A standout for artisan cheese lovers across the UK.
Crafted with care by the Reade family, this clothbound cheddar is made using traditional methods and animal rennet. The milk comes from a hardy mixed herd of Friesians, Ayrshire, Jersey and Brown Swiss cows, all raised on the family farm.
This cheese is shaped by the seasons – summer milk from lush organic pasture gives a golden colour and creamy richness, while the cows’ winter diet of hay and spent whisky grains lends a paler hue and the occasional blue vein. Aged for up to 18 months, the cheese develops a dense texture and a robust, tangy flavour with a signature depth that reflects its unique provenance.
